My husband and I planned a destination wedding to Portugal from the United States and our wedding planner first put us in contact with Arena do Tempo over video chat. As soon as we met Fiona, we knew that we wanted her to be a part of our wedding. She was the perfect fit for us!

We could tell she really cared about capturing who we were as a couple and making sure that came through in our ceremony. She worked with us before the wedding to help us create the perfect script and she always answered emails so promptly.

On the wedding day, she was fantastic. Her presence was so calming and she was very in tune with my husband and I. We couldn’t recommend her any more wholeheartedly and we are so grateful for the part she played in our wedding.

I cannot thank Arena do Tempo enough for making it such a beautiful occasion. Fiona was extremely professional and supportive from the very start, helping us to write our vows, making herself available to run through how the ceremony would go, checking we were ok in the lead up to the big day.

During the ceremony her very calming and loving aura helped to relax our nerves and so we were able to really enjoy how wonderful it was to be there on the beach, surrounded by our nearest and dearest on such a special day. I highly recommend everyone to employ Fiona’s services for their own special day. Words cannot express how grateful we are.

... because the ceremony is not "cookie cutter" ...

From our first call with Arena do Tempo, we knew they were the right officiants for us. Fiona attentively listened to our stories and preferences and made excellent suggestions on how to incorporate our personalities into our ceremony and make it special to us.

I was lucky to have both of my grandmothers who are 85+ years old make the trip from Brazil to Portugal and Fiona suggested a lighting of candles procedure executed by them (and Fernando’s mother). It was very helpful that Fiona speaks Portuguese (my grandmothers do not speak English). Fiona also suggested a place in Lisbon to buy the candles – Caza das Vellas Loreto, which happens to be the oldest candle shop in the world (operating since 1789!) – it pays off to know the local spots!

We also really liked the fact that she had suggestions on readings, vows, etc. that were not “cookie cutter” and the typical wedding scripts, but were unique and special. She made sure we had everything that we needed for our wedding day and put our minds at ease.

You were such a calming influnece on our big day and so understanding of what we wanted to create, offering your experience and guidance throughout. Fiona made the cermony so so special and you were able to create such a real, loving, atmosphere with your ever so softly spoken words.

There wasn't a dry eye in the house and you had so many good ideas and nothing seemed to be out of your comfort zone.

We are forever in your debt, as for your part of the wedding being the cermony was simply incredible and what people will speak about for months and years to come.

People constantly said they could feel the love and emotion from the first sentence to the last "you may kiss the bride" that you read.
